Technology for Those Who Need It
We believe every student and adult deserves access to technology for education and personal growth. Our Loaner Program provides refurbished laptops at no cost to Manheim Borough residents who are experiencing financial hardship.
Whether it's for schoolwork, job searching, learning new skills, or staying connected. We are here to help bridge the gap when purchasing a device isn't an option.
Limited Availability: Device stock is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee availability at any given time.
Eligibility Requirements
To ensure devices reach those who need them most, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Manheim Borough Resident
You must be a full time resident of Manheim Borough.
Parents of children that attend Manheim Central School District (MCSD) can also apply on their behalf.
Proof of Hardship
Documentation showing financial need, such as:
- Free/Reduced Lunch Program enrollment
- SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid benefits
- Unemployment documentation
- Letter from school counselor or social worker
Age Requirement
Applicants must be 18 years or older. Parents/guardians may apply on behalf of minor children for educational use.

Loaner Agreement
All recipients must sign a loaner agreement acknowledging the following:
Care & Responsibility
You agree to take reasonable care of the device and keep it in a safe environment.
Damage Liability
You acknowledge responsibility for damage caused by negligence, misuse, or failure to follow guidelines.
Return Policy
Devices must be returned when no longer needed, or upon request. Failure to return may result in collection action and a ban from the program.
Prohibited Activities
Devices may not be used for illegal/illicit activities, resold, or transferred to another person.

Help Grow the Program
Have an old laptop gathering dust? We accept donations of working or repairable laptops to refurbish for families in need. Every device makes a difference! If we cannot use your device, we'll responsibly recycle it.
