Proof of Not-For-Profit Status
When you contact us, we will request proof of your not-for-profit status. Any of the following documents are acceptable:
IRS Listing Reference
A reference to your organization's listing in the IRS's most recent list of tax-exempt organizations described in section 501(c)(3).
Tax Exemption Certificate
A copy of a currently valid IRS tax exemption certificate.
State Certification
A statement from a State taxing body, State Attorney General, or other appropriate State official certifying nonprofit status.
Certificate of Incorporation
A certified copy of the organization's certificate of incorporation or similar document that clearly establishes nonprofit status.
Parent Organization Proof
Proof for a state or national parent organization and a statement signed by the parent organization that your organization is a local nonprofit affiliate.
